HearStrong Champions are individuals with hearing loss who are dedicated to inspiring and empowering others. Sound like someone you know? Nominate them today!

Author

Regan is a HearStrong Champion because she has been an advocate for hearing loss since she was a child. At age 11, Regan wrote an autobiography, “Listening to the Waves” that focuses on her hearing impairment and published a website of the same name to help other children and families understand what it is like to grow up with hearing loss and cochlear implants.

Student

Reece is a HearStrong Champion because he dedicates a great deal of his time to educating others about hearing loss. He is an annual volunteer counselor at camp H.E.A.R where he portrays the character “Blue Ear,” a Marvel superhero who has hearing loss.

Future Teacher

Rachel is a HearStrong Champion because she is strong, independent, helpful, and an advocate for those with hearing loss.

Student

Harry is a HearStrong Champion because he wants to be able to connect with people who have hearing loss and help them become the best version of themselves.

College Student

Alex is a HearStrong Champion because he is an advocate for himself in the public school system and he is a leader amongst his peers. Alex has made hearing loss an approachable topic and encourages others to ask about his hearing loss and hearing aids so everyone can feel educated rather than view it as a disability.

Emily is a HearStrong Champion because she is passionate about helping those with hearing loss. Emily wants those who have hearing loss to enjoy a better quality of life through hearing aids and cochlear implants.
