About HearStrong

HearStrong was founded in 2013 with the goal of inspiring a mass hearing healthcare awareness movement. An estimated 48 million Americans experience hearing loss, and 80% of these individuals let it go unaddressed. This could be due to barriers such as social stigmas, financial difficulties, lack of awareness and resources, and more. In response to this need, HearStrong began recognizing and sharing the stories of remarkable people with hearing loss in an effort to empower and inspire others to take control of their hearing health. These individuals are known as HearStrong Champions.

Over the course of six years, HearStrong’s efforts have expanded. With the help of our sponsors, we have sparked initiatives such as the Pay-It-Forward program and the HearStrong Visionary Fund, which connect people with the hearing solutions and resources they need. We partner with hearing healthcare professionals across the country to give people of all ages access to hearing health services. We have enlisted ambassadors to help us spread the word and honor our Champions at events. We are proud of what we’ve accomplished so far, but there is still work to be done. With your help, we can continue to shatter stigmas and bring a new quality of life to the millions of Americans living with untreated hearing loss.

Pay It Forward

The HearStrong Pay it Forward program was built in good faith to offer hearing aids to deserving individuals. Through the program, Champions can gift one set of hearing aids to a deserving individual of their choosing without restrictions.

Visionary Fund

Whether you would like to further the education of yourself or others, provide funding for medical care, start a new business, or train for a competition, etc., the Visionary Fund can make that possible. The committee will select recipients based on the most compelling application and apparent need.
