Throughout his ten seasons in the NFL, Andre Collins played linebacker for the Washington Redskins (1990-1994), the Cincinnati Bengals (1995-1997), the Chicago Bears (1998), and the Detroit Lions (1999).

Collins attended Penn State, where he was a standout player. In 1989, he was named an All-American and a Butkus Award finalist; established in 1985, the Butkus Award is given annually to the top linebackers at the high school, collegiate and professional levels of football.

Collins currently serves as Executive Director of the Professional Athletes Foundation at the NFLPA.

Before the 2013 Super Bowl in New Orleans, Collins helped the foundation honor HearStrong Champion Paul Szemborski Jr. and before the 2014 Super Bowl in East Rutherford, NJ, Collins assisted in honoring the 2013 Gallaudet University football team as HearStrong Champions.

In dealing with athletes, we understand the importance of maintaining one’s overall health. Through our work with EarQ and the HearStrong Foundation, we’ve been able to learn how untreated hearing loss can have very negative effects on a person’s emotional and physical health. We are proud to support HearStrong’s national awareness mission and to stand as advocates ourselves to help more people hear better and feel better.
