A native of Fremont, Nebraska, Zach Wiegert played professional football for 11 years. Drafted by the St. Louis Rams in 1995, Wiegert also played for the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Houston Texans before retiring in 2006.

He played at right tackle for the University of Nebraska Cornhuskers from 1991-1994. During his senior year, Wiegert’s third year as the team’s starter, the Cornhuskers won the National Championship. The school retired Wiegert’s no. 72 jersey soon after.

Currently, Wiegert works in real estate.
