Rachel Weeks Named a HearStrong Champion

After being diagnosed with Usher Syndrome, a rare degenerative condition that causes vision and hearing loss, in 2002, Rachel searched for a way to rebuild her confidence and stay connected to her world. She soon discovered the power of running and competing and, with the assistance of a guide, she has since completed several major competitions, including the Boston Marathon and Ironman Texas.
